ECC Technologies Relicenses PRS Designs to NASA and MEI
MINNETONKA, MN – July 24, 2005 – ECC Technologies, Inc. announces that it has relicensed parallelized and pipelined Reed-Solomon (PRS) error correction designs to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and MEI for use in the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Solar Dynamic Observatory. This is the fourth time ECC Tek has licensed its PRS designs based on the PRS Patent. The PRS designs are used to create fault-tolerant synchronous DRAM memories for space.

NASA has ownership of 454 ha (1,121 acres) of land at Greenbelt. The remaining 60 ha (149 acres) are the outlying sites and are held by revocable lease from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
