RS for Display Port DP1.4

The following drawing shows the overall concept for DP 1.4. 

Each Serial RS Decoder can correct one or two 10-bit symbols with data fields of 250 symbols compliant to the DP 1.4 standard.  Codewords have a length of 254 symbols with 4 symbols of redundancy.

The decoder is designed to correct all correctable error patterns “on-the-fly” with no slowdown or pausing of continuous input data.

The decoder has a fixed latency.
